Masculinity: this bad boy isn’t bad at all

Marnie didn’t understand why I dig Russell Crowe. Will it hurt so much to say that he is the epitome of sexy masculinity – all with its roughness, that glare in the eyes, and those sneers in the face of danger? It’s a rewarding adventure to be able to detect hints of vulnerability in that macho figure. Watch a 2007 remake 3: 10 to Yuma and Mr. Crowe will show it to you – what it takes to be a bad boy. Him and Christian Bale are impressive actors, and the movie itself is a decent western one – so it’s a pretty good deal (and don’t worry, it’s a pretty much conservative western movie – far from being brokeback-mountany, if that concerns you). 4 stars out of 5 from me!

P. S. There’s something about Brit and Aussie actors that American actors miss. I’ll get back to this next time.
